Graham Norton’s Own Sauvginon Blanc

Graham said of the 2019 blending material “this is going to be easier than last year” and he was bang on the money.

With such a nice vintage to work with, Graham quickly identified the base parcels and began the blending process.

Graham loves the more classic, greener Sauvignon Blanc, but also enjoys some of the zingier tropical wines so they are weaved  together.

It’s not always easy – it’s like having two Hollywood actors on your couch and both trying to get a word in edgeways..!

But sure enough, he does it again and they have ended up with a wine that starts with that classic Marlborough herbal and ripe capsicum notes (no gooseberries!) and then all of a sudden you get some melon, then sweet passion fruit aromas layered in there.

Bags of flavour, lots of texture – the Graham Norton’s 2019 Sauvignon Blanc is a very enjoyable tipple indeed.

Tasting notes

It is gorgeously lifted on the nose showing passionfruit, kiwifruit, jalapeno and lime peel aromas, followed by a juicy palate that is punchy and flavoursome. The wine offers excellent fruit purity and intensity, finishing persistent and delightfully delicious

Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

A standout vintage in Marlborough meant it was tough to pick winners from this year’s vineyard samples.

“Delicious! 2019 has been a great vintage and Graham has characteristically weaved his blend between parcels with herbaceous characters and other with more tropical and citrus notes. Overall the wine is a beautifully bold statement of Sauvignon Blanc which I’m sure will be a hit with all GN fans.”
